The dishwasher rack repair I ordered was received in good condition, but if one needs to fix more than a couple of areas, the liquid quickly becomes thick and gummy. I really had to fix several spots and guess that's not a good plan. Too bad there isn't some type of spray that would hold up on dishwasher racks.
This material is okay, but not for larger jobs.

This is the second bottle we bought. It is for another dish washer. If you sand on dremel the part you are touching up it works very well. Seller was prompt.

Vendor shipped promptly and delivery arrived well packaged. I had multiple problems with tines on lower rack where the vinyl had cracked and rust ate away at the lines -- several even fell off. This product worked well to cover the areas and now the rack seems as good as new. The 1/2oz bottle does not cover large areas and the MEK solvent evaporates fast so you only get one chance to make this work. Directions say to dab on, let dry for an hour, and then re-coat. This did the trick. Replacement rack is $100 so this product helped avoid that expense for a while at least.

it's been a few weeks and this repair is holding up well under daily use. my dishwasher rack was in terrible shape, I used one bottle putting a thick coat on all the rusty spots.

this saved me having to buy a new DW rack so I'm very pleased with the product.

update: it's been a few months now and the repairs are still holding. yeah! I love it when stuff works.

Easy to install and totally covers rusty tips of plate posts in dishwasher. Two months and no problems. No more rust stains on plates! Highly recommended - much cheaper than buying a new basket.

I have used a product similar to this before that worked well. This product instructions are to let completely dry before applying second coat. I had to put many coats on and some are still not repaired. If the bottle is left open too long, the product gets thick and gooey.

This product worked as expected. We had a piece of a peg from our dishwasher rack break off and it exposed the metal. It ended up rusting a bit too. We used a piece of sandpaper to sand off as much of the rust as we could and then applied this product. Let it dry for a few hours and have had no problems. I'm pleased.

I have a wonderful old Maytag dishwasher that still works beautifully. Problem was that the rack had developed places where the rubbery coating had worn away. Rust was coming from those places, during the wash cycle, and rust was now spotting my dishes. Uber Goop put a stop to that. Touched up all the areas where the 'rubber' had worn away, and the old dishwasher hums away. Very happy with Uber Goop.

It worked really wonderful for my dishwasher rack. Definitely need to remove the rust before using the Uber Goop. Had to remove the rust from edges of my dishes as well, but all is like new now! I recommend the product highly.

This product may actually work well however even when using it quickly and repeatedly closing the bottle it goops on the brush and it goops in the neck of the bottle and requires constant wiping away not to mention that the gooping results in a lot of waste...had to reorder because perhaps 1/4 of the bottle gets lost because of the gooping. Definitely do not let it get on your fingers.
