I bought this for my K'nex obsessed son because they supposedly work with K'nex. I suppose they do, but they BREAK. In fact they break ALL the time! Evidently it's something the manufacturer is quite aware of because there's an illustration in the instruction book about how you can use them in their new forms when they break!

My son decided to stick with his K'nex and I'm out an Uber lot of money.

My boys have been entranced with this building set (they have the starter and uberpult). They are dedicated legomaniacs, but UberStix have expanded their repertoire considerably. And I love the several pp in the instructions that are dedicated to "if this piece breaks, it can now be utilized in the following ways. . .!" A very new way of thinking for a toy company! (But none have broken yet!)

We love Legos and K'nex so we were excited about a new building toy that would work with both. We were so excited about the product, we bought a few sets to build on vacation. After building a couple of things, we were so disapponted with the system we gave it away. Pieces are difficult to put together, break easily and create flimsy final products.

I am so pleased to have found a construction toy that is more than worth the money- Uberstix is great. Lately, I have been so frustrated by the high cost of Legos only for my kids to put the models together in a few minutes and never touch them again. Our experience with the Uberstix has been completely different. Not only does this kit offer a range of fun projects from easy to challenging, but my kids were then able to add their Lego parts into the mix and create robots, cars, etc... that would never have been possible with just the Legos. The best part is that when they built the sailboat, we took it to the lake and it really sailed. They liked building from the instructions that were included but their favorite part by far is just inventing things to build. It seems they can build anything at all, the pieces go together in so many different ways. Of all of our kids toys, my husband and I enjoy playing with the Uberstix the most which just adds to the fun. If you have a son who is creative, this is a toy you definitely want to add to his toy box!

My daughter wanted some building toys for Christmas. I searched and everything I looked for was for a "specific" model. I wanted something with enough stuff to build anything. Well this is it. So easy to use and so versatile. If you haven't watched the video, you should. She played with this forever. It will work with most of the legos and other stuff she has and she's really excited that she can build things by recycling objects we have around the house. Great buy!

if you like construction toys, buy these. They ARE durable, last long, link with ALL other building toys, and work REALLY well. I have many (over 200) and so far 1 has broken. They are sort of made to brake, but only by cutting them. That's another plus; they do encourage you to mod the pieces. Not for everyone, but until now when i read the negative reviews, i never met anyone who thought they were stupid or disfunctional.

Despite reviews that the structures were too complicated for kids, my [...] and 9 years olds have had no problem following the instructions to create the structures and they started with the most complicated structures first. However they do take a lot more patience than other construction toys and need adult input at some times.
We have not had the breakage problem and the pieces seem pretty flexible - maybe there is a new formula for the plastic?
This is a fun toy for the whole family!

This is an awesome toy for kids who like to create. I like it even more than I do Legos and K'nex. It is limitless in its diversability and its ability to use recyled items (popsicle sticks, plastic grocery bags, empty water bottles, and others) make it even better for teaching children to use their imagination. Even my three-year-old is building awesome things.

Once we showed our 9-yr old how to connect the Uberstix pieces, he went to town! Lots of options on building.
