"Engenius Outdoor High Gain 8dBi Omni Antenna (EAG-2408)" is not a 5GHz antenna. I don't know why Amazon is recommending using a 2.4GHz antenna with a 5GHz Access Point, probably because people like me keep screwing up.

But the M5HP Ti is great, appears super tough and weatherproof. Quality piece of gear for sure.

I used two of these plus antennas to create a wireless bridge to connect 2 buildings. These were easy to set up using the built in web-based software. My buildings provide direct line of site and are about 1/4 mile apart. I ended turning down the output power on both units all the way down and still have a strong signal. I am using AIR802 ANGR5X26 Grid Antennas. So far has been up for two weeks. My ping times are <1ms between buildings which is much better then the old link that went down.

I have a pair of these setup on a 2.5mile shot and I am getting a solid 78Mbs performance with a 9db dish antenna. The link is moving HD camera data so no small task for any radio. We are implementing these into our network as a replacement for some older 900MHz serial radios.

The built in software works great and is easy to use or you can flash the units with DD-WRT. This is a great setup for amateurs and pros alike.

I just installed a pair of these to replace an older set of Ceragon Networks radios that were damaged by lightning. The path is 7.9 miles, and is used to link two broadcast transmitter facilities together. The M5 was extremely easy to setup and install. Each end of this link is mounted near 100,000 watt FM broadcast antennas, yet have no problem working in such a harsh RF environment. The Ubiquiti radios provide great throughput and overall performance. They are an outstanding value.
