This is essentially a convenient version of documentation for Ubuntu 9.10 that you can find on line. If you want or need a hard copy manual that gives the basics in a step by step format, this is both a good one and the official one. It would cost you more in time and effort to print one from online sources and this is conveniently formatted and bound. It lacks an index but otherwise it will get you up and running. Moreover, if you want, you can help to improve it by sending feedback to the Ubuntu Documentation Project or volunteering to do some documentation for the larger Ubuntu Community.
