By
This review is from: Ubuntu Pocket Guide and Reference (Paperback)
This book is probably the most helpful book on Ubuntu I have read. It feature's up-to-date information, and most of all it's also available FREE on pdf format online. It really features EVERYTHING you need to know on Ubuntu for the beginner and for more experienced user. I consider myself an experienced user and I learned plenty from this book. I highly recommend it for the newcomer to Ubuntu and the more experienced user.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent coverage of the Ubuntu essentials for the power Windows user, April 11, 2009
This review is from: Ubuntu Pocket Guide and Reference (Paperback)
What I most like about this book is that there is zero fluff from page 1 until the end of this book. And although I have been using Ubuntu since 7.04, I still learned from this book. I think the target audience for this book is the experienced Windows power user/ administrator who wants to try Linux as that is the user that will find something useful on just about every page. I did. However, the average Windows user may better benefit from the Official Ubuntu book.
