this is a short good book to read. I have read a few UFO books which are written by the believers, those books tend to have lots of rumors. This book took the time and energy to analyze each cases, and go into depth as why those are not true.
however, it missed one important incident, the Rosswell UFO. It is a well known incident, I wonder why the author did not even mention about it?

Format: Paperback
This little book has a lot of insights and real research packed into it, including 'classic cases' that are still part of the current UFO lore.
Its topics include: details of participation in the 1980 Smithsonian Institution Symposium on UFOs. Suggestions from a Sympathetic Skeptic; UFOs and the Age of Space; Close Encounters -- Fact or Fiction; The Apollo-11 Incidents; Myths and Mysteries of the Moon; The UFO Hoax in Perspective; The Sirius Mystery; The Tunguska Echoes; The Mystery of Russia's Missing Cosmonauts; The "Jellyfish UFO" Dilemma; UFO Research -- Estimate of the Situation; reading list; addresses; index.
It was well reviewed at the time by both UFO believers and by skeptics. "A wholesome and much-needed housecleaning of the UFO stables" -Dr. J. Allen Hynek; "Intriguing...(and) refreshing" -Library Journal; "A useful and provocative book" -Christian Science Monitor; "A treasure of fascinating information....It is refreshing to have these clear-headed, well-informed, scientifically reliable analyses from Oberg available in such handy and readable form" - Kendrick Frazier, editor, Skeptical Inquirer; "Oberg's detective work is impressive" - CHOICE.
