the pearl of Africa,
By sally tarbox (aylesbury bucks uk) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Uganda (Hardcover)
Color photos throughout, this little book (128 p) teaches you so much about this country. Starting with the country and its flora and fauna, its early history and later the exploitation, formation of British East Africa, ultimate independence and recent affairs up to the mid 90s. It then looks at the people and culture, health, education, the cities, economy and things to see. Oh and did you know the African Queen was filmed here? Aimed at kids but informative for anyone
