Kicking Harold is a great band and Ugly & Festering is a must own cd. It rocks and has lyrics most anyone can relate to. They have a very rare second cd called "Return Of The Bulbmen" which is also very good. After being put on hold for a few years, Kicking Harold is back....

5.0 out of 5 stars Kicking Harold - Kickin' A$$, September 11, 2009
This review is from: Ugly & Festering (Audio CD)
1st off this track listing IS WRONG!!!!! Here's the correct one, off the CD in front of me.

1. Fred's New Dress
2. Down On You
3. Recipe For Disaster
4. Pray For Love
5. Poetry
6. Kill You
7. Dear John...
8. Everything
9. Beautiful
10. Forever Sunshine
11. Nasty Habits

Now that is out of the way... Kicking Harold is still around & about to drop their new album "Space Age Breakdown" Featuring the song "Gasoline" which can be heard on TLC's automobile make-over show, Overhaulin'...
I say these guys will probably pull out of the stables & kick rock back into gear, they've got the goods let's just see if they bring it out of L.A.

Ugly & Festering is a great CD that was way ahead of it's time or stands true to the time... Looking around many of the issues touched on this CD have been in our faces in the news, in the lives of our friends, ourselves, etc... It's almost like a prophecy from the sideline that was embedded in music.

Watch for these guys, they're sure to rock you & not leave your head empty!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Plain Awesome, March 31, 2001

It's really too bad that this cd is so hard to find. It is one of the very best cds I have ever listened to. It ranks up there with Godsmack and some of the hottest cds in my alternative collection. I really hope they come out with more.......

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Incredible Variety of Alternative Music!!!, June 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ugly & Festering (Audio CD)
One day I was wondering around the music store wanting to find something similar to Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Creed even Metallica...but not any of those (because I'd listened to their CD's too many times). The store clerk suggested Kicking Harold. It is incredible - no song is alike. You can play the CD over and over again. Get it --- You will not be dissappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kicking Harold renewed my faith in the music industry, June 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ugly & Festering (Audio CD)
I first heard "Everything" in '96. A lot of people can identify with that song. That haunting melody stayed w/ me for nearly three years until I finally bought the album. I was totlly amazed when I first listened to the cd. Kicking Harold really knew what they were doing when they put this together. Tim David Kelly, Brian Anderson, and Edward Shemansky have proved that you can make your music diverse and still stay true to it. Songs like "Poetry" and "Recipe for Disaster" take a look at the ironies that we choose to ignore in everyday life, while "Pray for Love" is a ballad. Whether you decide to analyze this cd like I obviously have or prefer to simply enjoy the music (I envy you if this is the case), you will certainly appreciate this cd. I would like to meet these guys. They seem really cool.
