5.0 out of 5 stars all of their albums are the best, February 10, 2000

What can i say, SHEER TERROR is my favorite New York Hardcore bands. This album is definitly a must have. I suggest to anyone who has only heard this album to go out and try to get a recording of SHEER TERROR's "Just can't hate enough" album. That album is the tops of all hardcore albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars A NYHC essential, September 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ugly And Proud (Audio CD)
If you're going to have a top ten of NYHC albums, this should be in it. Sheer Terror had a one of a kind sound and an attitude that was unique and refreshing at the time they came out. Blake's guitar work was awesome and heavy and Paul's lyrics were blunt and cynical. He was a great frontman with pissed off, cut and dry onstage banter that was never dull to see. He wasn't about positive optimism and hope for the future, he was more about how he hated his job, had a broken heart, thought most poeple were stupid and deserved what they got - and wanted to sing about it. Paul and the boys have payments to make on their chic bowery condos, so hurry up and buy this, and hey - buy one for a friend, too!

Paul Bearer is a musical genius who will never get his just rewards. Sheer Terror is the greatest hardcore band ever. Everyone tries to imitate these guys but no one comes close.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music to make love to, December 7, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Ugly And Proud (Audio CD)
I can't find words to describe this album. If you have just been dumped or is dumping some one, pick this up. Sheer Terror is like a good kick to the teeth, and you don't mind it. New York punk rock like it should be, in your face. No possie-core, straight punk. Without Sheer Terror, the state of hardcore music would be nothing. Take off your hoodie, pull-up your pants, get into the pit and go for the gold. Sheer Terror was there for you, so you be there for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars this album is a must buy, February 26, 1999
By A Customer

If you like good christian gospel music, this is the album for you! Paul's voice is angelic as he sings of Jesus and his almighty deeds. The best track is "Bulldog", a song about losing ones faith in God and then finding it again in a time of need.
