Astonishing rock classic from Down Under, April 2, 2005
This album crept under the critical and commercial radar upon release in Australia in mid-2004 due to the tragic death of lead singer and principal songwriter, Cate Dahl, who took her own life just weeks before the release of the CD. Dahl's legacy is simply amazing. This album ROCKS in the best way with guitars attacking the listener from every direction and energy levels set consistently at "11". And the lyrics penned and sung so beautifully by Dahl now take on a poignancy in light of her tragic demise. In fact some lyrics are downright chilling in the context of the likely fact the she planned her suicide all the way through the recording process. People, this album will be hailed as a classic one day after it seeps out into the global consciousness! Buy it and cherish it!
