Rappers with high pitched voices get no love. This shouldn't be the case. The Ugly Truth is easily one of the best Hip Hop albums of the last few years. Reanimator (known for producing some of Sage Francis' best material) is an incredibly skillful producer. Prolyphic's writing and delivery are both top-notch. He is,in my opinion one of the most underrated names in underground hip-hop. The combination/integration of the two can only be described as fantastic.

Prolyphic delivers intelligent sociopolitical critique, Reanimator accompanies this with barren production. The beats are pure, cold, dark, and bleak. Even though all the beats have similar sounding elements they all work together well. Not only that, they also fit Prolyhic's style perfectly as well as his lyrical content.

Front to back, it's a great album and there really aren't any drawbacks. Even though it's called The Ugly Truth, Prolyphic and Reanimator found a way to bring their truth to light in a beautiful way.
