Wow, I usually don't write reviews but I had to for those boots, I almost didn't buy them because of the poor reviews it had but I went with my gut and ordered them!
I am very pleased with my purchase! The Ukala boots looks great, specially if you have wide feet like me! They were not too big or too small, they fit true to size!
I spent a week trying to find great affordable boots and purchase a pair of Bearpaw and a pair of Ukala, I should had just gotten 2 ukala boots, they are cheaper and the same quality!
I purchase the Chestnut color and it's a little lighter than the picture which is great, I was afraid would be too dark!
It's very comfortable and I plan on getting other colors!!
I only didn't give 5 starts because they aren't as soft as Uggs inside, but for the price you can't complain!!
I'm sure it will keep my feet warm all winter long!
If you are worried about the quality, don't, it's very well made!

always worn EMU boots but since they discontinued the bronte i hesitated trying the ukala....just didn't look like the quality of the bronte. i was right. the ukala syndey doesn't have the arch support that the bronte had. ukala sydney sole is horrible for outside, no traction, also slippery even inside. suede isn't as supple as the bronte. inside foot bed less quality. gave them 3 stars for the nice charcoal color and they do keep feet warm. overall quite disappointed. time to try uggs.

UPDATE DEC 21 2011.....after wearing around for awhile i have decided they were okay for the money spent and would purchase again to knock around indoors. i spend much time at my yurt in northern rockies and they do keep the feet warm....and surprisingly, worked great with snowshoes in a trek to my local market. so today i am purchasing another pair. uggs top in quality but expensive, yesterday $160.00 for uggs, today $37.00 for ukala. ukalas run large, uggs size 10.....ukalas size 9. PEACEFUL HOLIDAY TO ALL.

I dont like the material on the inside of the boot. Its not warm and comfy. It's like..dry cheap wool, and itchy.

I wanted a nice pair of warm house shoes and UGGS were just too pricey. In comes the UKALA. They are durable, soft and warm. I do wear them with socks, cause if I wear them on bear feet, they do tend to sweat more, and I dont find the wool to wick away the moisture too good. With thin socks- no problem. The wool does smell "sheepy" so I put in them lavender sachets every night. It has helped a lot to keep them fresh and smelling nice. I love that the back part of the heel is firm and wont warp over time.

These boots were good for about a week. They wear out so bad and are not worth the money at all.

I was shocked by the price of these boots considering they are normally $60-70 dollars, buying them for $28 seemed like an incredible deal. When they arrived this morning I ripped open the box & pulled out both the gray and the black pairs I had ordered. From the reviews I noticed a few people commenting on the fact that they had to order a size down from the normal boot size that they wear. One lady even stated that she ordered one size down from her normal UGG boot size. In reality I am a size 8 1/2 - 9 in shoes, but in UGG land I am a kid size 6 to a womens size 7. So going off of her not so accurate remark I ordered two size 7 boots completely drowned in the fact that they would fit well, to a little big. No not at all. These boots are uncomfortably tight, I am 100% not a size 7 in Ukala boots, I would at LEAST need a size 8, which is a couple sizes bigger than what I wear in UGG boots. DO NOT go off of a few of these reviews found here in amazon, they are not at all accurate. Order true to your size if you are wanting to purchase these.

On to the looks and the comfort level. As of this moment I have a few pairs of UGGS I love, and a pair of muk luks that I loathe, but the muk luks are a gray/black and my UGGS are brown, and beige. I was in the market for a pair of black and gray boots to finish my collection and then I could finally throw the muk luks away because they are the least comfortable boot with zero support. The Ukalas are made from a very cheap material, not what I was expecting to find when I felt them. the inside "fur" felt like rough cotton balls randomly stuffed into the shoe.

I do wear these mostly inside because I am not crazy about the style (Uggs either) compared to my other boots, but I have walked several miles outside as well with no slipping or major signs of wear. I believe the outsoles are Vibram, same as my trail runners, so they should be able to handle city and mall walking. The lambs wool lining is extremely warm for working inside in my cold office; I have actually been able to turn the thermostat down a few degrees. I rated them "fit as expected" but if you are between sizes, order down. But the difference is not enough to really rate them "runs large".

The fur on the inside comes off pretty easily and the soles of the boots are super slippery. But they're cute and warm. Good for just hanging around in. NOT for winter weather.
