A very bouncy, likeable cd of ukelele standards. Perfect tropical background music. Some very impressive ukulele work. I love Yellow Bird.

Finding this CD was like unearthing a long-lost treasure. This CD is of ukulele music I grew up with - literally. The performer is Donald Baduria, a family friend who jammed with my uncle at countless family gatherings in the Hawai'i pineapple town where we lived. The music is pure acoustic ukulele music, not all jazzed up and modern. Mr. Baduria passed away a long time ago. I didn't think I would ever be able to listen to him play again. I ordered a second copy for my father, who was especially touched by this find.

This music is so much less expensive than therapy, and probably as effective! I love this stuff. I love the ukelele now days, and the this classic music is not only wonderful to hear but so tantalizingly tropical - I feel like I am on the beach in Hawaii. Younger performers now are making the ukelele once more a reputable instrument, varied and adaptable. I got this at iTunes, and I just LOVE it.
