With the widely mixed reviews this trampoline has received, I was very reluctant to move forward with purchasing this product. I mean, who wants the hassle of only getting one box out of 3 & having a mat that stretches out in a matter of days, right? And after watching that Ultega promo video... I felt like I was having an after-death, out-of-body experience with the melancholy sound track & the camera panning into the sun at the end. It felt like someone's soul was being lifted into heaven! Let's just say that didn't put me in any mood to purchase their product!

But despite all this, there wasn't a trampoline out there that could beat the $359 price tag. With safety a top priority, it did seem that the base had a good design and the safety net was a definite plus! (Note: the product description lists the net as 4 ft high - it's wrong - it's over 6 ft high). All of the reviews I read indicated that Ultega had superior customer service and went out of their way to resolve any problems. After agonizing over these pros & cons, this helped tip the scales so I decided pull the trigger & put in my order (17 Jun 2012).

Unfortunately, I did become one of the victims of only receiving one box. In fact, Amazon had listed this product as 'unavailable' a day after I made my order. Very frustrating! After a couple of phone calls to Amazon, I discovered that there was an inventory problem at the distribution center & it sounded like the three boxes weren't getting stored in the same area. Three days after my order, Amazon had fixed this problem & I had requested an overnight shipment for the trampoline. I wanted to have it in time for my daughter's birthday - they came through on that front & for that they get mega kudos!

Style Name: 10 Feet Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
My daughter's friend has a very similar trampoline, so when this one arrived she was jumping up and down before the thing was built. Let me start with a warning:

As of right now the Amazon product page says the shipping weight is 25 lbs. Um . . . no. Try about 200-300 lbs. When this box arrives, get your friendly delivery person to wheel it close to where you intend to put the trampoline. You will not be able to move it by yourself. It's heavy!

Which gets us to building it. There are two sets of instructions, one for the trampoline, one for the poles and net. You'll be wondering, what do I do with all these bolts? That's part of the poles and net process.

It took me about 2 hours (in a light rain in a muddy yard) to build this. My 9 year old daughter helped. You'll want someone around to help you out, especially when you're putting up the poles. It's nice to have someone to hole the pole up while you try to thread the bolts through the holes.

The trampoline seems very safe. There is a thick blue pad that sits on top of the springs, which both protects them from the elements and protects your kids from falling through the spring area or stepping on a spring. The poles have a soft foam around them and hold up a high net. A little common sense and some ground rules for the kids and they should have many many happy days of bouncing around on this thing.

All in all I'm very happy with the build quality. My kids outgrew the swing set and this has taken its place. I think they'll be getting many years of use out of it.

My wife and I were deciding between a trampoline or a play set. Based on discussions with friends, we decided to go with the trampoline. We searched online to find a suitable and safe trampoline for our 2 & 4 year old without breaking the budget, but at the same time not sacrificing their safety. We decided to purchase the 12ft Ultega trampoline based on the reviews as well as the description/video. I must say that we were absolutely thrilled with our purchase. I did assemble the trampoline on my own, but would recommended at least 2 people work on this. It should take no longer than 2 hours to complete the setup. We had a small issue with our jumping surface and contacted Ultega customer service. They immediately went into action and contacted us back to resolve the issue. We sent them a small video of the problem, and they immediately agreed to replace the surface without question. The replacement was not immediately available and they continued to call us and provide us with updates. Customer Service is unmatched, so thanks!! I am pleased to say we received the new surface. I have not had a chance to fit it yet and if there are any issues I know I can call Ultega to discuss resolution (they have already assured me of that). I do not expect there to be an issue. Overall, I absolutely recommend this product and thank Ultega for making my kids smile and for keeping them fit (and safe) too! :-)

Also, final thing......even though this trampoline has sturdy legs that angle away from the trampoline, it will still not likely hold up in very strong winds. Don't purchase the custom anchors with the crazy prices they charge, but buy ground anchors from somewhere like Menards (where we got ours) or Lowes etc.
