Paying an extra $15-$20 for a Guide, you would think that you would find answers to your questions. Too much editorial, not enough helpful hints. What do the switches in Covetous level 1 do? How many skill points in smithing do I need before I can smelt agapite ore? These are the questions that all of us face, but that nobody, most notably this book, have answered.

This book will help you on your way threw the roll-playing adventure that the makers of Ultima On-Line have created. Without this book there is a very big chance that you will get lost in the very large world of UO.

This book is realtively good because it contains good necessary information about all the creatures and the new lands etc. I commend Prima for that but you can't really make a good strategy guide for a game of this nature because Origin changes things (which is a good thing most of the time). Overall, a good book, but it won't be accurate for all that long and you can get mostly the same info for free

This book is great! The only downside is that it is not for newbies but that's ok because im not one.

This book has tons of useful information regarding UO from the old days. It doesn't have every single detail, but it has a lot. Only a old school UO player would even remotely have any use for this.

Excellent guide, but quickly out of date. The number of patches and changes that come to Ultima Online quickly outpace the written word

For a new player on Ultima, this guide provides some essential information and a few strategies not included in the UO manual. But much of the information is out of date and now inaccurate. The descriptions of skills and professions are written as creative narratives rather than giving instructions on how to succeed.

Featuring many tables charts and maps, this book is surely a must for the Ultima fanatic. On the other hand, it is pure fact, it rarely offers a personal opinion, or a newbie tip. Even though it is advanced, this must-have guide will save you many hours of browsing through unofficial webpages for unconfirmed tips. In my opinion, it is worth your money. I have spent many a dollar looking for books like this. (With little success!)
