Rocks!,

For those of you who like "linear" RPGs, where your path is set and NPCs tell you everything you must do, look elsewhere. If you like to wander around, get lost in the world exploring and fighting, this is the game for you. HUGE map, with 2 different 'worlds' to explore, loads of caves, tons of monsters, hidden weapons, spells, etc. (the pirate treasure side quest is truly awesome; you look for pieces of the map scattered over the world) Travel by land, sea, and even air! . Then, when you've had your fun, go ahead and try to beat the game =]

THE FALSE PROPHET ROCKS,
By Mik "tjmik643" (Uganda) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ultima VI: The False Prophet (Video Game)
Sure. The graphics are [bad], the fighting has no strategy and the plot is confusing. But the land of Brittania was so interesting and captivating. This game sucks you in like a good book. It takes time and patience but when you take advantage of the non-linear gameplay and explore the many wonders of the villages you almost wish you could be there. For people who need a break from the blockbuster japo-fantasy games (ie. all new rpg's) this one is a must. At times it almost plays like a mystery novel. The superbly imaginative and creative world of ultima 6 more than makes up for the weak graphics and poor battles sequences. Oh, and the music is very good. It's more medieval than it is "new age" like most new games.

this game is pretty good if you like old school rpgs. how ever, some people might not like the fact that in order to level up you got to talk to statues in temples. those temples are pretty dangerousto deal with.
