His ministry has included teaching courses for Religious Studies, Catholic Studies and other academic programs. Javier is a professed brother in the Secular Franciscan Order where he currently serves as local minister for the community.

Sylvia L. Sánchez is an editor, translator, and writer on liturgy and catechesis, as well as in the field of advertising. She is associate producer of CarisMedia in St. Louis, MO, host of the nationally syndicated Spanish language radio program Tu Compañero Católico (Your Catholic Companion), and member of the advisory board of the Instituto Nacional Hispano de Liturgia (National Institute of Liturgy for Hispanics). For many years she served as director of religious education and RCIA in a parish in Tampa, Florida.

Nelly Lorenzo holds a Master’s in Divinity from Loyola University, Chicago. Currently she is the Coordinator for leadership and Catechist formation of the Office for Catechesis in the Archdioceses of Chicago. Previously, she was at the Instituto Hispano at Loyola University, Chicago where she served as director for five years. She has served as a Pastoral Associate in an inner-city parish and has facilitated workshops and retreats at local as well as national events. On October 31, 2003, she received the Gaudiem et Spes, Lay Leadership Award for service in the Archdiocese of Chicago from Cardinal Francis George, OMI.
