Solid '70s compilation, February 14, 2006

Classic Rock fans may want to check out Ultimate 16: Power of Rock for some hits from that great decade of music, by the original artists, no less. Many of the staple songs associated with that era are found in this set. Included are: Magic Carpet Ride (Steppenwolf), All Right Now (Free), Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Don't Stop (Fleetwood Mac), Hold Your Head Up (Argent), and Long Train Runnin' (Doobie Brothers). Add ten other songs to this mix and you've got a great value for the money.
The only complaint this reviewer has of this CD is that it weighs in at only 59 minutes and change. Some of the songs are the shorter, "singles" versions. It would have been nice to provide the listener with the longer album cuts especially since there was a lot of room left on the CD. That's small potatoes, though!
