this band is an oldie but a complete goodie. they started back in 1976 and made it to the early 80's leaving some of their best singles on this album. some of the best English punk their was. they earn the full 5 stars.

awesome cd. all really good songs with the clockwork witty "smart alex". adicts are another band that really cant go wrong.

It's so much fun, with so much energy and an essential to every power pop fan. The Adicts are so full of energy; and thats what really makes this cd a keeper

this cd is a good collection of their songs. Although i personally like "songs of praise" and "joker in the pack" better. If you are looking for a cd with their best songs this isnt exactly what you are looking for. They are missing too many of their good songs.....so go with "songs of Praise" or "Joker in the pack" o ya.....(yes, the adicts have and oi'ish style....they are not oi punk....but its close)

People can all the Adicts whatever they like, but the fact still stands that they were one of the best and most influential punk bands ever. The Adicts are an "oi"-style band with great lyrics, awesome guitar work and some clever use of keyboards and the such to produce a unique sound that few bands have ever attempted to copy. A classic and a must-have for anyone's punk collection.

Ok first of the bat. The Adicts are NOT oi punk (Wich is also great and I suggest you listen to some!) they are Clockwork punk and some of the best I have ever heard. YES thier songs are packed full of energy and YES they are definatly FUN (every time I hear "Viva La Revolution" I get in the mood to go riot in the streets just for fun) but they also have talent! Thier songs are more complex then you would think (Just try playing "Striaght Jacket" on any instrument and you'll see) Thier songs have meaning everywhere (Some obvious ones: "Viva La Revolution" and "Don't Exploit ME") But if this review doesn't convince you then listen to the samples.

the other reviews are misleading. Yes, the adicts are high energy, fun fun fun. Yes, this is the best of them. but for christ's sake, this is still a waste of your money! do you have operator's manual by the buzzcocks? any cockney rejects or partisans? GLC RIP by menace is one of the best albums of slightly obscure old-school brit oi/punk. but at any rate, don't expect this album to change your life-- unless your favorite band is nsync.
