The Ultimate Audition Book for Teens 2: 111 One-Minute Monologues (Young Actors Series)I found that this book didn't have much in the way of variety. There were maybe 12 or so Teen Girl monologues, and about the same for boys. Then there was a much larger section for either one. I thought that some of the monologues placed in the general section should have been for boys. Also, I noticed that most monologues were either basically a white person, or a complete "gangsta". This was not very satisfying. Unless I was auditioning for a comedic role, I would never even consider trying to pull of such speech. Lots of the monologues were inappropriate for everyday use. Not necessarily something I could use at all auditions, especially for family shows. This was not the most wise purchase I have ever made and I'm glad I ordered a used version. I would have hated to waste more money than necessary on this item.
