With 3,500 questions, this book can keep you busy for some time. Many of these questions are really hard, such as "What country was Elrod Hendricks born in?" Others are about arcane rules, highest salaries earned by a player, who hit a specific home run and my favorite, "What are the names of the pitcher, catcher and umpire when midget Eddie Gaedel went to the plate for the first and only time?" Now that is trivia!
Like all other trivia books, this one is fun to read and talk about. If you think you are knowledgeable about the history of baseball, read this book and be educated on how little you really know. It is an enjoyable way to be educated about your ignorance. |
