The Ultimate Book of Franchises provides information that is generally available on the web without purchasing the book. When I purchased this book and others I was looking for more detailed information regarding Childcare Center franchises that included their building sizes, how many children their facilities would accommodate, ratios they used for each age group, financial statements, and other information that isn't generally disclosed. If you are looking to purchase a franchise, the book could help with your initial efforts in narrowing down a group of potential franchises. The franchise I wanted more information on, Park Place Children's Center, was not in this issue.

This book has a good directory about most important franchises in the USA. There can be some enhancements on this, through updating to the next edition and adding new franchises and through listing the international branches and franchises that companies have granted.

This book has a lot of great information. I received the book quickly and in great condition.
