5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS A GREAT COOKBOOK!
This is the best bread machine cookbook I have ever seen. The recipes are delicious and easy to follow, unlike those in some bread machine cookbooks where the print is too small, too faint to be seen, or which irritatingly instruct one to follow the instructions that come with one's bread machine in regards to the order of adding ingredients. 1.0 out of 5 stars colorful, but......
The book has many colorful pictures@ recipe quants. for 1, 11/2 &2 lb. loaves. That aside,4 of the recipes I tried were disasters, esp.the french bread(no sugar mentioned). I compared the recipe book that came along with the bread machine to this one, and they were quite different in ingredients and portions.

(This last is ridiculous as the order of adding ingredients depends on the yeast you use and whether you plan to use a delayed bake setting not on your model of bread machine.) The recipes in the book are each accompanied by a large colored photo of the finished bread so that you can get a good idea what it will look like before you start baking. This is very useful for me as I am a very visually oriented person and like to see what the results should look like before I start cooking. It also helps me choose which bread I would like to bake that day.
I also like the colored photos that accompany the explanation of what can go wrong in baking as it is difficult to get a mental image of these in prose only copy and it is tedious to slog through a long list of possible mistakes looking for just the one you are interested in fixing.
I have a Sunbeam 5891 bread machine, which is just about the cheapest cost-wise on the market nowadays and bread made in it using these recipes turns out great every time. I am the house manager for a small private girl's dorm and all the girls use the cookbook and the machine with perfect results every time. Everybody agrees it is a great cookbook and I heartily recommend it to anyone seeking to make bread in a bread machine.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Bread Machine Book I Have Ever Used!, April 27, 2003

I have several breadmaking books I use with my bread machine, and this is by FAR my favorite (I have the update 2002 Hermes House Edition, but it is essentially the very same book)! Receipes are very easy to follow (no impossible to find ingredients), and directions are concise. I have yet to have a receipe turn out anything but a wonderful, tasty loaf of bread... and the aroma is to die for!!! I love the numerous photographs too! Buy this book if you are thinking of buying ANY breadmachine book! 5 Stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cookbook, March 5, 2008
This review is from: The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook (Hardcover)
I have never had a bad loaf with this book! I use the updated Hermes House edition (2002)(Cooks Encyclopedia version) but essentially the same great book! You can't go wrong with this one! I have used it with my great TR888 and TR700 bread machines and I make at least 2 loaves a week.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the Best Bread Machine recipe book, January 7, 2009
This review is from: The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook (Hardcover)
This book is GREAT! I actually have the 2002 Hermes House version but have bought this version as gifts. I have another book plus manufacturer's books (I'm on my second breadmaker) and this book tops them every time. The proportions are different than the other books and work great! I've made breads (sun dried tomato is my favorite although I add basil, oregano, and garlic powder), rolls, pizza dough (the best ever), the small pizza's (sfincione), the focaccia, pitas - all are great and my kids request them over and over.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Bread Machine cook book., January 14, 2012

When I lived in England I had this book, but when I moved to America, I have left my book behind. I made a few loaves in my panasonic bread machine but they didn't seem right with other cookbooks. I finally bought this one again and what I love about it is that is has the measurements in imperial and metrics...for accurate measurement and my bread came out PERFECT!!!!!!!

BEST COOK BOOK

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly an excellent bread machine book, December 27, 2011
This is truly an excellent bread machine book. It's rather encyclopedic in its reach, covering everything you need to know about truly using your bread machine, and then launching into a whole series of bread recipes that you can make. Most of the recipes cover making a small, medium or large loaf (or batch as they case may be), and there are a lot of good, colorful pictures.

If you have a bread machine, then you will want to get this book, so that you can get the most out of it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A book that I think that every chef should own, November 4, 2011
I love freshly baked bread, and was very happy when I got my bread machine, which made making bread so very easy. However, I quickly learned that, at least in my area, there is only a very narrow selection of bread machine kits available. Well, this book easily solves that problem!

The book covers everything you need to know to make all sorts of attractive and flavorful breads. Many of the recipes require you to only use the bread machine for the kneading and so forth, but if you are will to roll up your sleeves and work with the dough, you can make some very wonderful breads. I have gotten rave reviews of my Hazelnut And Fig Bread, not to mention my Tomato And Prosciutto Pizza and Rosemary And Raisin Loaf. So far, outside of a disaster caused by my own error, I have had no trouble with these recipes.

It's a great book - one that I think that every chef should own. Adding a unique bread can really make a meal a special treat.

I absolutely love this cookbook. I make bread at least once a week in our bread machine. This cookbook has 150 recipes not only for many different types of bread, but pizzas, rolls, pastries, sweet breads, cakes and more, plus tips on how to use your bread machine. There are pictured instructions on how to hand-shape loaves, recipes for different types of glazes and how to apply them, as well as different types of toppings that can be used. The bread recipes are for any size bread machine with ingredient quantities listed for small, medium or large loaves. There's a picture for every recipe, too. This truly is the ultimate bread machine cookbook!

I find the Gold Medal's Bread Machine book that I bought from the grocery store checkoutline producing more reliable results.
I would not recommend this book.
