Book Review,

I'm glad that this book, which has some very nice photos, didn't cost very much money. The truely classic cars, such as a Packard has a photo or two, while other cars, such as a Morris Mini has a spread. I wouldn't call a Morris Mini a classic.

This British book, published in 07 does include photography and writeups for a number of true "Classics", but to include a Willys Jeepster, a Mini Cooper,and a 50 Mercury, etc. with cars like the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8, the J Duesenberg, Rolls Royces, Packard 12's and some other true classics is well off the mark to me. In addition while some of the photography is ver well done, some pictures are obviously recycled from other sources and not so good. It's not a terrible book but not great either. |
