4.0 out of 5 stars Not Boring At All
I'm taking East Coast Swing Dancing Lessons so I thought I'd purchase this video as a reference. 1.0 out of 5 stars I thought it was terrible
Just a word of warning, I found the tape slow, uninspiring and a waste of money. It wasn't a waste of time, because I only left it on for about 7 minutes.

I'm taking East Coast Swing Dancing Lessons so I thought I'd purchase this video as a reference. When I read the review about this item (There was only one by the way), I really thought negatively about this video. But since Scooter Lee also came out with "The Ultimate West Coast Swing Reference Video" and that video received such a great review, why would this one be so bad?

So I actually bought both East and West Coast Swing Reference Videos. What do I think? I must say this one is a lot better.

I've taken about 8 lessons in Swing so I know a coupld of moves already. I initially thought this video would bore me out, but surprisingly it did not. This is because the video mixes in some easy moves and some intermediate moves and some hard moves. This was a great thrill to me. I even learnt some techniques on how to lead certain steps as well.

The video is good for beginners. It goes through most of the moves and footwork slowly from a leader's and follower's perspective. The only quibble I have about this video is that it's quite short. =) It would also help more if they taught more basic moves. They do hint at some Tuck turns, but they only show you one.

Can you really go to the dance floor and start East Coast Swinging? I think you really could! It'd be good enough to impress your friends, I'd say. There's enough moves to show off. =) Now all they need is an intermediate and expert level tape to come out.
