Mid 90's mega-superstars Ace of Base may not be in the media spotlight here in the US, but fans can still enjoy this amazing box set. And let me tell you this collection has just about everything right. Included on the first two discs of the set are all the hits from the group in the original format (read European versions) as well as a few choice album songs and rarity singles. The third disc (housed in the packaging sleeve) is a bonus disc that contains some of the groups remixes; mainly from "The Sign/Happy Nation" era. It would have been great to have some rarer remixes included on the remix disc, especially for fans importing from non-european markets.

The packaging of the set is well done as well. The digipak opens to the casings holding the first two discs; with the third disc and an booklet kept in the outer flaps. The quality is great and some thought was put in the collection.

Another big draw for "The Ulitmate Collection" is the sound remastering. Lots of things are remastered these days, but the process work quite well for the older tracks on the album. Each sounds a bit clearer and equalized. Well done.

For fans looking to complete their Ace of Base collection...there isn't much newness here to offer. But for those that feel the need to aquire a great tribute to some of the best pop music since Abba..."The Ultimate Collection" is a must have.

OMG!!!!!! How on earth could've I forgotten about these guys/gals??? Forever compared to ABBA because they were both from Sweden and had equal parts of men and women in the band, but, that's where it ends, at least in MY book. All of their US hits are here and even in remix format on the 3rd bonus disc. They had much more to sing about after America somewhat lost their taste for them after their Bananarama cover of "Cruel Summer" what a bummer! I am very happy and pleased that I chose to re-discover one of my all time 90's Arista records artists (the other being Real McCoy who are being used in a Farmers Insurance commercial) by purchasing this awesome collection of their hits. Like the liner notes even state, "contrary to many, the band has never quit recording" thank you Amazon for having this!!!!

Pure 90's techno inspired bliss. Brought back a lot of memories. Amazingly my daughter's love it too.
