Would consider, when asked "WHAT IS HIP?...Lenny Williams...he can groove, smooth soul ballads and get down with the blues...as lead singer with Tower of Power in the early '70s...his approach to a song has all the passion he can muster..."CAUSE I LOVE YOU", is a fine example (the song he became identified with) from his "Spark of Love" album..."DOING THE LOOP DE LOOP, single version...is "pure groove"...can't sit still...I'm about it arrangements...remember his "Choosing You" album from the late '70s, featuring "PROBLEM SOLVER" a Williams & David Stallings tune..."I'VE BEEN AWAY FROM LOVE TOO LONG", "LOOK UP WITH YOUR WIND", "SHOO DOO FU FU OOH!" and "CHOOSING YOU" are the stand outs, a personal favorite of mine...but the highlight has to be ~ "DON'T CHANGE HORSES IN THE MIDDLE OF A STREAM", has "get-it-on-down" beat with a funky sound that keeps you movin' with every note...Hip-O keeps their ongoing series "Ultimate Collection" striving for perfection...and this CD is strickly "down with it!"

If you want to be made love to with music this is the one, it make you feel that you are the one he is talking to, and about. It's soothing when you feel bad and up lift you when you down. Old time oldie goldie.

The most important thing is the item was shipped in a safe package! We all remember Lenny from Tower of power and his voice is still amazing! this was a treat to have and once again, thanks for the safe shipping!

Back in the 70's I loved Lenny Williams dance music"Choosing You" and "You Got me Running" so I figured it would be a good dance CD but it's not. Other than those 2 songs the rest of the CD is all slow music which is ok. Not recommended if your looking for dance music.

I initially purchased this CD for one song, and I've enjoyed that one song. There are at least 3 other songs on the whole CD that I like. Someone else who is more familiar with this vocalist might really love the whole CD, but I don't. Is it worth purchasing? Yes, but be prepared to know that unless you are a really avid Lenny Williams fan and purchase the CD just to have because of him, you might feel a little like you have half in one hand, and half in the other.

This album contains the pain and passion of one man's experiences that are similar to our own experiences.

I bought this album just for one song, "Cause I Love You," but discovered so much more in it. Truly a classic, filled with great music to listen to.

I just love Mr. Lenny song 'cause I Love you ' . I been loving that song since I was a little girl .

I've loved Lenny Williams' singing since.... His first solo album had a song stating "I'd rather hurt myself that to ever hurt you" which I've been trying to find for YEARS!!! Could I possibly have help finding that song or even contacting someone else who remembers it?
