5.0 out of 5 stars I do not buy many greatest hits compilations, but..........
This one is great. I always thought that Stephanie Mills was an underrated singer. She has a wonderful voice. Some of the best songs in R&B/Soul history are on this disc. My favorites are: Sweet Sensation, Never Knew Love Like This Before, I Feel Good All Over, and Comfort Of A Man. My mother used to play some of these songs when I was growing up.(Yes, I am...

2.0 out of 5 stars How many times can one artist
RERELEASE the same 8 or 10 songs!!???!??!! Ugh... it's painful to think of the meeting that took place at the record studios declaring it a good idea to regurgitate this material. Mills has no less than 5 "greatest hits" or "ultimate collections". Don't you need to produce some new material for that to be repeatable. An amazing talent, sadly with...

My favorites are: Sweet Sensation, Never Knew Love Like This Before, I Feel Good All Over, and Comfort Of A Man. My mother used to play some of these songs when I was growing up.(Yes, I am young) I never thought that I would be listening to these same songs years later. But, I guess good music lingers on and on. If you like Stephanie Mills, you will love this. I think this is one of the better compilations of her greatest hits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes You Feel Good All Over!, October 31, 2001
This review is from: Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
This is one of the best compilation CD's that I have ever heard. It features all of Stephanie Mill's #1 songs plus her other classic hits. There are many different compilation CD's of Stephanie that are offered on Amazon.com, but this is by far the best. I can't stop listening to her beautiful voice, especially such songs as I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love, Puttin' a Rush On Me, and Sweet Sensation. A must!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A soulful, timeless compilation, March 10, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
I picked up this compilation back in December of last year and I haven't been able to take it out of my CD player since. This woman has a dynamic voice and I am applauded by the fact she has been underrated. This collection displays soul, which is something that has been missing from rhythm and blues for quite some time. The classics featured on this disc such as, Sweet Sensation, Never Knew Love Like This Before, and I Feel Good All Over, are some that I grew up listening to and with each listen,I appreciate the voice behind them even more. If you are a fan of REAL soul and exceptional vocalists, I recommend this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get ...Up And Get It!, April 30, 2003
This review is from: Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
Homegirl put shivers down my spine whenever her voice. I cried like a baby born child when I saw her pre4ming "I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love" with...Angela Winbush in The Apollo.

I heard that she's in the process of making her new LP(Matta o' fact BOTH ladies are planing 2 release their new CDs) and thats mighty good news cuz soul sistas like these should neva stop gracing us with real music.

Get this motha RIGHT NOW! you def won't go wrong with Home, What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin', How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore and the rest too. Plus, the wonderful liner notes writtin by the great David Nathan wasn't bad either, I learned alot of Stehpanie's backround.

Peace & Love

This is the best collection of hits you can get from the all time soulful diva Stephanie Mills! I cannot say wich ones are the good tracks, because, their all good! But my personal fav are: "Never Knew Love Like This Before", what a bittersweet melody and lyrics, "Home" a broadway classic, it makes you want to go back in time!, "Medicine Song", this is funky, funky! and all the MCA tracks teach you how to be in love!, this is classic for any R&B true fan!, this album has all Mills essentials!

Mills has no less than 5 "greatest hits" or "ultimate collections". Don't you need to produce some new material for that to be repeatable. An amazing talent, sadly with more "greatest?" hits than original hits.

This is said out of love as I would like to hear more from Ms. Mills that I DON'T already own.
