4.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful and heartbreaking
For twenty years a mad man has been abducting children. He has just taken his tenth victim.

3.0 out of 5 stars UHMMMM!
This story was mild. Not the angst and heart aching macho cowboy stories I am always looking for to read.

However, the story is about a lost boy, kidnapped and abused; hence, his family has been also lost in despair and blame, until of course the story unfolds in a happy ending.

Good but not my kind of story.

For twenty years a mad man has been abducting children. He has just taken his tenth victim.

Seven years ago Brody Bloodworth and Julie Whitehead were in love. They were so hot for each other that they snuck off at the rodeo they were attending and left Brody's little brother in the stands. When they returned he was gone. Brody blamed Julie and pushed her away.

Today Julie is a FBI agent. Even though she lost Brody all those years ago she's made it her mission to do everything in her power to find his brother. With the latest kidnapping and a rash of robberies they piece together that one of the boys doing the robberies may be the missing brother.

Brody after his brothers disappearance built a ranch for troubled boys. It was his way of trying to save as many as he could since he was unable to save his brother.

As the story unfolds and we learn what really happened to each of the boys its heartbreaking. Brody and Julie have to come to terms with there past along with helping find and get the boys back to there families.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Cowboy!, August 5, 2013

A cowboy with a heart and a mission. Great story line with just the right amount of romance and hesitation in the character's part to avoid the ultimate conclusion. Well done!

1.0 out of 5 stars romance novel palmed off as an exciting modern western, July 12, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I didn't expect a cheap romance novel. The plot had potential, but the writing was colorless. There was no character adequately developed to relate to.
