A True Dance Party!,
By "jshippo2001" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1 (Audio CD)
While many dance compilations try to please as many people as possible by combining as many different types of dance music as possible, all the songs on this CD work together wonderfully. The Amber song This Is Your Night is the highlight of this CD, but the songs by La Bouche, Taylor Dayne, Ace Of Base and Quad City DJs are huge party starters. The only annoying song here is the overplayed Macarena, but since it's the last song on the CD you can easily skip it. Even if you think this CD is older, still get it because it's still very enjoyable.

Best Dance CD Ever,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1 (Audio CD)
This is the best dance CD compilation on the market. There are no losers on this CD. It has the advantage of being the first and thus was able to pick from lots of great music, not just stuff that was offered during a 12 month period. It also doesn't try to cross genres like Ultimate Dance 1999. (...) UD'97 is what it is, the original, a great dance compilation. (...)

This should be retitled "Greatest Dance Hits of the 90s"!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1 (Audio CD)
This is a great compilation! 17 of the 90s greatest dance hits on one explosive cd! What could be better! Songs like "Missing", "Where Do You Go?" and "Another Night" represent the earlier years of 90s dance. "Dreamer", "I Like to Move It", and "Boom Boom Boom" are defenite club hits! But among this vast list of party smashes are just a couple of ultimate hits. "Beautiful Life", beautifully performed by the best group on the planet, Ace of Base, is one of them. The other is "C'mon & Ride It (The Train)" by one of the decade's biggest dance acts, Quad City DJs. These two hits are for sure the biggest dance tracks ever! This is an amazing party cd (I bought it in summer 98, and this album helped me party on down!) and everyone who wants the biggest club hits of the 90s needs this cd!

The best dance compilation I have ever listened to.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1 (Audio CD)
With so many different types of dance compilations on the market, it is rare to find one that has so many great titles on one CD. Ultimate Dance Party 1997 is, like the name suggests, the ultimate dance CD. If you are to ever purchase just one dance CD, this should be the one. This CD is not for the tame! I recommend a stereo system that can handle the thunderous bass that this CD has!

Lots of 90's club classics in this one; it's a great CD to have at a party and just put on for background... no DJ required.

Great CD to remeber my final high school year,
This review is from: Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1 (Audio CD)
This cd makes me remeber the final year of ym high school, since they played this cd at my senior prom. And that was best year of my life, excluding the year i been with my gf. But this cd has music that will make your car shake and boom. Plus has many good solid beats to dance to if your throwing a party.

I liked this but the sounds are a bit old now... I like the more energetic stuff coming from Europe currently -- for example EURO CLUB HITS VOL. 1 which is on iTunes and Rhapsody and etc.

This awesome CD reminds me of my senior year of high school at the American School of the Hague in the Netherlands. Weekends were spent dancing my butt off to these awesome songs, I miss eurotechno, and eurodance! To anyone who loves to dance this is a must, not to mention this CD will have you moving at the gym!
