1.0 out of 5 stars More nonsense from Steven M. Greer(?), November 23, 2010
By

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Ultimate Deception (Paperback)
No, "Commander X" is not a character out of Buck Rogers; it is, I believe, Steven M. Greer, author of several dubious books on UFO subjects. The text is written in Greer's intense, melodramatic, and self-aggrandizing style, and the tales told are equally fishy. There may be elements of truth littered here and there throughout the book, but separating them from what appears to be patent nonsense would be a thankless task. Extraterrestrial visitation is a topic worthy of serious study, and there are some fine researchers producing excellent material on the phenomena. It's a shame to see the already murky waters surrounding the subject being further muddied by authors such as "Commander X", who seem primarily interested in drawing attention to themselves.

Incidentally (and ironically), I do recommend Greer's book Discloure, which gathers together a litany of first-hand reports by military personnel and other credible UFO witnesses. But I suggest reading only the testimonies and taking Greer's commentary with a large grain of salt.
