5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
These are the best earbuds that I've bought! I'm a 20f with very small eustachian tubes, and regular-sized earbuds, especially the in-ear types, hurt my ears tremendously. I've bought in-ear buds with different sized foam parts, but they were all too big and cutting them down to size was just a mess. The in-ear part of these buds fit to your ear perfectly, and they come...

2.0 out of 5 stars Broke easily
I really liked this product before it broke. The earbuds were the perfect size and the sound quality was excellent. However, the blue part split in half within a couple of months. It probably would have lasted an even shorter time in the hands of a child! They are too expensive to buy a new pair every few months.

I've bought in-ear buds with different sized foam parts, but they were all too big and cutting them down to size was just a mess. 4.0 out of 5 stars Not just for kids, February 8, 2009

I was born with a slight hearing disability, so I can tell you it's not fun to never be able to hear people when they whisper, or to have to either use closed captions on the TV or give up understanding half of what is said. If you love music, you will want to protect your ears so that you will still be able to listen to good music for the rest of your life, and that is the primary reason I bought these volume reducing earphones. I never knew I had small ear canals for an adult, but I guess I do because I use the smallest eartips on these and they are more comfortable than any others I've ever tried. I also like that they're PVC free, and that the cord doesn't tangle easily.

I bought these for my 14 year old. He loves how comfortable they are and the cool blue color. The sound quality is excellent. He did think the volume could be a little louder but as a mother I like the fact that he's not blasting his eardrums out!

I like to listen to music when I'm falling asleep or relaxing in bed. The earphones that came with my ipod were awful. I found these earphones and I am very satisfied! They are comfortable enough to sleep in! I have had them for over a year with no problems.

The sound of these earphones are out of this world. The volume limits are there but its not at all hard to hear. My daughter watches her movies on her Ipod without any issues. Even on a 747 headed to the west coast. These look very cool and the quality of the earphones seem to be very high. Comes with several sets of earbuds so you will have the right size for any ear. Cable lenght is also good. I would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about with these.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too loud, December 2, 2011

These Ultimate Ears earphones come with a bunch of silicone ear cushions in different sizes and a little plastic case. I bought them because I didn't want the music and movies them to damage my children's ears. It didn't work. They both complain the earphones are uncomfortable and refuse to use them.

So, I decided to try them for myself. What I found was with low volume, the earphones feel like earplugs. You know, when you can hear yourself breathe and your heart beat? There is also a lot of noise echo coming from the movement of the cord. At higher volumes, this is not a problem, but my goal is to have the kids listen at lower volumes.

As a test, I tried using the Ultimate ears on maximum volume with my Kindle Fire and I thought the volume was actually pretty loud. Compared to my standard earphones, the sound was a little more muted, but it was loud enough to be objectionable to me. I might say it's better than nothing, but my kids won't use them.

These earbuds are great for anyone who has smaller ears or basically child ears. They sound really good and are definitely worth their 10+ bucks

We bought these for our 7 year old to use with his new MP3 player and he LOVES them. They look like the ones his older brother and sister use and he cannot turn them up too loud. BIG relief for us parents! We searched all over the internet and in the stores before making a decision and couldn't be happier.

Bought these earphones because the ones that came with the MP3 player really hurt by ears. I haven't had any problems at all with these and I wear them pretty much from 8 to 5 five days a week. They're great!!!
