Is anyone else expecting them to release an Ultimate Edition Box Set of the entire franchise to include everything from each individual Ultimate Edition and more? They've done the same thing with Lord of the Rings and other franchises. My guess is that it will appear sometime next year.

You could wait until Warner Bros. releases an Ultimate edition or you can pay amazon.co.uk a visit. If you do not mind waiting another 3-4 weeks and the substitution of "philosopher's stone" instead of "sorcerer's stone", then check out this ultimate [region-free] package. My cart reflects a price of 58.91 British pounds ($90.79 USD) at checkout. This is lower than the 66.99 British Pounds price on the product page. The shipping is about 3.00 British Pounds.

For those interested in Blu-Ray 3D of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2 see: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00512WO9M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
or even the Blu-Ray 3D of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1 (yes, they did finish it) see: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Potter-Deathly-Hallows-Blu-ray-Region/dp/B005GKYRFS/ref=pd_sim_d_h_2

Unfortunately, it looks like we were victimized by another Warner Bros. exclusivity deal with a major 3D HDTV manufacturer.

during the "philosopher's stone," did they have to record 2 scenes, one for american and one for UK, one saying sorcerer's stone, other saying philosopher's stone?

Yes. Both the books and films have different lines for the US and the rest of the world.
Rowling is said to have later regretted allowing the US version of the book to be dumbed-down to "Sorceror's" from "Philosopher's".
Apparently her American editor told her Americans wouldn't understand what "philosopher" meant as opposed to the more easily-identifiable "sorceror"...
Stupid if you ask me.

Why haven't they upgraded the audio on the first 5 movies? Number 6 is DTS-HD and 7 is DTS-MASTER.They need to upgrade before i buy the box set.I think the ultimate bluray's where upgraded so why dont they do all new bluray's in the better audio.I couldn't see cost being an issue when they have made billions of dollars on this franchise.

DTS MA, Dolby True HD and PCM Uncompressed are all lossless audio formats. There's no difference in audio quality by using True HD or PCM so there's no need to upgrade them.

According to the product description, the blu-rays are region free, but the dvds are region 2. In a related forum on the site, customers report that both amazon uk and warner bothers report that the dvds are also region free. What to believe...?

Does anyone know if these BluRays include the extended versions? Or only the theatrical?
