Nice book, but with little detail,

This book is a masterpiece when it comes to picture quality and when you are looking for a book that covers the most common species. If you have special interest in one or some species, the book is far from detailed enoughAlso, the book makes a great present for a bird lover.

One of the first books you should buy if you're thinking of purchasing any kind of pet bird. An excellent overview of most available. Great for the newcomer or experienced bird keeper.

this is the best I've found so far. I've read this book cover to cover, but it is also great to just pick up and flip to a random page. It would be great for a parrot beginner.
