Tsunami Bomb is one of the best and least-known bands out there right now.

I just happened to stumble across this band one day, and now i am completely in love with their music. I read about them in Alternative Press Magazine and heard they sounded similar to AFI, but with a more poppy sound. When i heard "Pop" that turned me off, but i decided to check it out anyway.

I was amazingly impressed by the outcome. I don't normally listen to punk music. I'm more of a fan of hardcore and metal, but this band is definitely worth listening to. Agent M's vocals were thorougly impressing and the guitar work was rather nice. The lyrics were fun and the music-extremely upbeat. They reminded of AFI's older stuff, and sounded somewhat like the Distillers, except more clean sounding vocals, and catchier sounding choruses. If you like fast, punky sounding music, you should buy this album. After all this is a REAL punk band, but they don't sound too much different from you average pop-punk band. However, they are way more original.

When I heard this cd was going to come out I couldn't wait (having heard all of Tsunami Bombs previous albums)and once it did I was blown away. The song Take the Reins is absolutely amazing the beat the lyrics I don't all I do know is its great. Russian Roulette had an unusual beat but once again I fell in love with the song.I could just go on for hours and hours about how great this band and the rest of the songs on the cd are. but I won't you judge for yourself.

Just like all their albums, this one (their latest effort and 1rst. full length) is awesome and excellent. I really can't choose a favorite song and neither an album of them 'cause everything these guys do is mind and earblowing. I've been a fan of TB since about two years ago now and just can't get enough of them. Simple sounding music, yet really good musicianship and impressive arrangements. Agent M's vocals are very powerful and aggressive and still extremely catchy and melodic. They are truly awesome and continue to impress me everyday. I got to finally see 'em live last week and I was blown away even more. They sound so good live! Even better than on record. Their records kick so much ass, but they possess so much charisma and magnetism onstage that you just will have to catch 'em live sometime to totally understand what I'm saying here!!! In these days of recycled alternative/punk crap, Tsunami Bomb is an intoxicating breath of fresh air!!!

Don't get me wrong, these guys are great musicians and their music is tight and solid, and somewhat original. I do listen to the album periodically, however, as an overall album I find that the collection can get a bit fatiguing. The band needs to mix up tempo, key and and sound density a little bit, IMO. "Drone" is an adjective that comes to mind although some people don't mind that. I prefer to put selected songs on mix CDs where they can really punch up the mix.

I love this band, and if you haven't heard of "The Guano Apes", or "Blend Engine" check those two bands out. Two more female fronted bands that will blow your mind away. Blend Engine needs more recognition if you ask me. If you want to just check them out and listen to them they have two download-able songs on their site [...] "All the Pretty Pennies" is a great song, and if you can find it somewhere "Hit the Silk" is a great song. Cheers!

I never had heard a song buy this band until when I saw them play in Seattle a little while ago with the Vandals. There were some dudes there with Tsunami Bomb tattoos and I never even knew they existed. To say the least I was absolutely blown away by their onstage energy and ability to get the crowd into it. I was so stoked on the band after the show. I dowloaded all their songs from their early 7"s and again was blown away by the bands creativity and their ability to create such a cool catchy song. Anyways I didn't download anything from the Ultimate Escape because I was planning on buying it, so soon enough I did. The album... it's good, it's definitly not your run of the mill punk rock album, it's something more than that, but the creativity and the qualities that REALLY set them apart from other bands seemed to have somewhat vanished. The cool samples and different song writing have morphed into a punk song that you hear everyday... almost. I don't know why they did this, maybe they were nervous about showing their creativity and thought of going a bit more to the norm because of a major label debut. The album is good though, M's vocals are as always amazing and it is catchy and it still has some of that creativity that I love (see "Russian Roulette"). If you are a fan of this band then your probably already have the album, but if you don't, download some tracks first. It's definitly a good record, but if you really love old TB then you might be a little let down. 3.5 stars. See their show no matter what.
