This book is a masterpiece! Having also bought other flight sim books, they pale into insignificance compared to this effort. Quite how long it must have taken to write, I've no idea. But I do know there's tons of useful information - all well written, clear and accurate. I'm just reading it all again for a second time - it's that good. The CD also contains some excellent programs. In particular the moving map display is excellent.

Don't bother with any of the inside moves books - get this instead!

This book is excellent, it will benefit both theorists (like myself) and those who are dying to get their planes off the ground. I think a baisc knowledge of the physics of flight is absolutely essential to be a pilot, good or not. Although formulae such as those for calculating moments of intertia of rigid bodies, would be beyond most readers, on the whole this book is the absolute best in it class! A note to critics of this book who think all they need is a 15 page manual full of keyboard short cuts to become a (virtual) pilot - It will never happen!

This is a wonderful book that covers all aspects of the Microsoft Flight Simulator98 program as well as a HUGE amount of additional information. This book is very interesting and well written. Although there is a large number of equations in this book, each equation is followed by a solved example that makes the information crystal clear.

The text contains MANY errata. Fortunately the author has set up a web site where you can download the corrections and software patches/updates.

This book for only people wants to learn every thing about aviation.
This book if you complete reading it you will know every thing about flying and jet engine and decent claiming and all basic flying and professional jet pilot , every single detailed in real flying and simulator .
This book more one thousand page I couldn't found any book beat it in aviation., full detailed about flying I have a lot of books about flying but no book yet beat this book ,
So good I bout 2 more of it but the bad thing no new any more so only way to buy it sacand hand.
It help me a lot to understand how to fly in simulator and always I use it as aid for my simulator even after I use flight simulator 2002 ,and simulator 2004 , and fsx help me in all

Two word read this book become a pilot

This is a very complete and technical book. It has over a hundred approach charts and many american enroute chart. Você tem que comprar este livro!(You have to buy this book!)

If you are willing to take the time to read this book and practice with the sim, you are in for a lot of fun. Microsoft Flight simulator is no doubt the best flight sim that you can buy. I've used it since day one when it was not much more than stick figures. I've use a few books and have not seen one that gives you as much info as this one. My advise if you are really serious about this simulator. GET THIS BOOK. Be able to do the things that you would never be able to do with out it. I give it five stars

I think this book is just fine if you want to improve some skills on your FS experience, but in some parts it's so techical, you might get bored. Also, the CD-ROM gives you good add-ons but the airport database is pretty outdated.

This books covers everything. Begining with the history of FS, explains physics, aerodinamics, etc. If you want to learn how to become a real virtual pilot you have to read this book.

This really is the "ultimate" FS book. What's not in there isn't worth knowing. I've got several FS books, booklets, web printouts, and so on. But that's small fry compared with this giant.

My only beef is the sheer size and weight of this book; commuting with it is hard. But I take it nevertheless. I have taken the wrong train once and also missed my station once because I was so engrossed with the excellent text. Buy it tomorrow, no now!

This book has a lot of information packed in one volume. However, I think that virtual pilots may get more out of using a real flight training textbook such as From the Ground Up, or the Aeronautical Information Manual, used in combination with Microsoft's online manual. The included software is out of date. You can get newer and better software off the internet. I would pass on this one.
