Wonderful pictures. For the price, you can't beat the quality of this book. The information is given in short simple decriptions; you're not going to learn to be a master gardener reading this book. It is as if you are peaking over a neighbor's fence and sharing ideas. If you like to save seed catalogs because they are so pretty then you need this book.

From the basic necessities to imaginative ideas for accessorizing, this book gives you the information you need to create a beautiful garden. It covers everything from where to start with container plants, to making a woodland garden. There are ideas on fences, gates, trellises, pathways, tiering systems, essential perennials and home produce to mention just a few. The photographs are amazing and plentiful. If you don't get inspired by this book, you must be brain dead! When it promises there are over 1,000 inspirational ideas and tips to transform your garden, it delivers. I refer to this book on a regular basis for the plant list and garden calendar.

The purchase of this book was not meant for gardening in our purchase. My wife is an artist and wanted the book for the beautiful pictures that she prefers to use for her paintings.
