5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss out! July 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Can not say enough about this! I know so many people who want to start a blog and then as soon as I mention Wordpress the deer in headlights come out. There's tons of info out there online to walk you through it but you need to dig and people get discouraged because it can be so confusing and time consuming at first. I love how she really covers it from start to finish and how you can really make it work for you financially with things like affiliate links/programs. She covers the business aspects but stresses quite a few times that it's about the work you put into it because you are passionate about it and it's not a get rich quick thing. Also the niche and designer info? Spot on! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to start an online business and build their brand!

5.0 out of 5 stars I think I can, I think I can. . . . . July 21, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a great resource for those of us trying to build a business from home and answers a lot of the questions about the 'how-to' of doing business building - along with creating a business brand and the fine points of a blog set up. Lisa has done a great job of defining technology terms - keeping it simple with explanations and examples to further aid in comprehension and implementation. She presents the information concisely and comprehensively and I found that she brings a calm in her approach to this business building process that can be chaotic and overwhelming for most of us at home business owners. The step-by-step video tutorial and links are extremely helpful as well the end of chapter reviews, Quick Tips, Warnings and general advice. Also the information for installs for both the PC and MAC were good to know. I enjoyed the designer section with tips, quiz and links and appreciated her showing her readers how she communicated/set up the brand/design her for own business! This is a 'must read' for work-at-home-moms to get a home business, blog and brand under construction. After reading this book, I think I can.......I think I can!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute GOLD August 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Seriously, where was this book when I started my journey 5 years ago. I struggle so much in the beginning to figure all this stuff out on my own. This book right her has it all spelled out in such a simple way. I mean, absolutely sets you up to succeed. Without a doubt I will be using this guide to help train my team on building an authentic brand for themselves and running a blog that drives traffic and quality followers. This is absolute gold right here!

5.0 out of 5 stars Reading my mind! July 18, 2013
By Erin
Format:Kindle Edition
If you're a mom, you'll be able to relate to my review. What I love about this ebook, is that it's short, sweet and straight to the point. I don't have time for "fluff" in the book. I need something that's going to give me the right resources, a step by step outline of how to do it, where to go, what to look for and what to avoid. And Lisa does a GREAT job of it with this ebook!

It's like you're one stop shop to get started and not feel completely overwhelmed. In fact I was just talking with a friend who's a new stay at home mom and she was trying to figure out what type of business she wanted to do to make some extra money. As I was reading, I thought instantly of her! This is a perfect place for her to get started, get some ideas about what it is she could do and then how to start!

I also love how Lisa seems to "speak my language." She writes very much like you'd be speaking with her directly. I find that much easier (and fun) to read!

This is definitely a book I will reference many times along the way in my business journey!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for aspiring work-at-home mothers August 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Any aspiring work-at-home mom who's wondering how they can make an income from home, must read Lisa Marcia's handy guide. Lisa covers all the basics and more, of building a blog, how to create a brand, to making a passive income. Moms who are already bloggers, and wanting to take the next step to a more professional blog and explore an online business, the section on WordPress is a gem. Lisa also has some good and practical advice on how to manage your brand, and more importantly, your time. Written in an approachable and friendly manner, it was an easy read and a resource I will definitely refer to over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for bloggers and Work at home moms! July 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I read the title of this book and thought that it wouldn't have anything for me because I was neither a blogger or a work at home mom. But after reading some of the reviews I decided to try it out. As a teacher that is looking for new ways to get kids engaged in the classroom, this book gave me some great ideas on how to integrate a class website into my teaching. The wording was very easy to follow and the pictures helped me even more since I am a visual learner. The author walks you through each step of the process of creating a website, theming it, naming it, and targeting your core audience. For the 3 dollar price tag, this is a book well worth the money! Honestly, if you are AT ALL interested in making a website or blog for any reason, spend the money and get it, you won't regret it

I've been an Internet marketer for the past 7 years. I've made a lot of money on the Internet. I've built many blogs, outsourced, created my own products, established myself as an authority on several subjects (built brands) and sold others products.

This is a very informative book that is filled with excellent information for the mom who wants to learn how to make money on the Internet. Your first steps to success will be found in this book.

This book is an introduction to creating a blog and making money with it. That's all it is though, an introduction. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained before making decent money online.

Lisa is right on in her description of how to build a blog, how to build a brand and with the affiliate companies she recommends to be used when starting out.

One of the things I really loved about this book is how professionally designed it is. She did a beautiful job with the design of the book.

There's only one part of the book I didn't agree with though, the part about paying people to teach you how to do the things she suggests in the book. Although she gives a list of reputable websites where you can check out the authenticity of people's businesses online before buying into their business pitches, in my opinion, you have to pay money if you want to learn how to make serious money online. The best information doesn't come free.

If you are interested in learning how to make money on the Internet, this book is a good place to begin.
