Book Description

November 1, 2004
The sport of hunting ducks and geese is alive and quite well in North America, thanks in large part to a resurgence of waterfowl numbers, which, in turn, can be traced to conservation groups such as Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl, Inc., as well as to sportsmen who impose limits on themselves far stricter than those issued by the law.

Assembling the gear, fixing the decoys, working with the Labs and Chesapeakes, caring for the firearms, fixing the blinds or duck boats, and always looking for more hotspots to hunt, waterfowlers are a breed unto themselves.

In these pages, read how to become adept at all aspects of duck and goose hunting-how to set the decoys in various conditions, how to call for the various species at different times of the year, how to get out there on the marsh or grain field and collect birds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! Highly reccomend!, August 6, 2003
By A Customer
This book gives great info on everything from advantages of certain decoys over others to stand alone blinds to decoys sets and even rigging. It also gives stratagies for hunting different parts of the season. I found this book up to date and very useful. It will save you a lot of money by stearing you away from junk products.

3.0 out of 5 stars good book for duck and goose hunters, February 18, 2011

This review is from: The Ultimate Guide to Calling and Decoying Waterfowl: Tips and Tactics for Hunting Ducks and Geese (Paperback)
Lots of good information on how to set up decoy spreads for waterfowl. Also very good section on bird calling. Other sections were a little thin and dated. I would have liked more photos and information about duck hunting.
