Ted has written a fantastic guide to making the most of LinkedIn's service offering. Definitely a must-read if you want to know how to make the most of LinkedIn. I was mistakenly treating LinkedIn like an online resume or a place to add discussions to our company group page. How wrong was I! There's so many more opportunities to network, make new connections and even find business. At the end of each chapter, I put the book down, logged onto LinkedIn and started following the recommendations for that chapter. I've updated my profile, started connecting with a few people, am answering questions in the Answers section and am really using this tool for what it is - a great place to find new professional connections.

While this book is well organised and well written it is, unfortunately, out of date. Many of the aspects Ted discusses (for example Questions and Answers) are no longer available on LinkedIn. I would recommend buying a book that reflects the current features of LinkedIn, one that is more recent than the Ultimate Guide.

You might not think of LinkedIn as a place to market your business, but there is more there than meets the eye if you have only used LinkedIn to post your own profile or to search for talent.

The book is a great combination of a beginner's guide with some terrific insider-expert tips. LinkedIn is a great way to connect to potential customers and if you aren't using it yet it is well worth investigating.

This Ultimate Guide is truly a state of the art deep-dive into all-things LinkedIn with a focus on the business perspective.

Ted takes away the mystery and sense of being overwhelmed and teaches you how to master LinkedIn. I have been using LinkedIn for a while; however Ted showed me areas that I did not even know existed like the Answer section and how to use that tool to demonstrate your expertise! The optimization tips are great - You will see yourself on the first page - at least I did! Thank you Ted for a wonderful book!

I bought this book after having read and been very impressed by some other books from the Ultimate Guide series. As an advanced LinkedIn user I can't say that had many aha moments reading this book, and that is why I am only giving 4 stars. Most of the stuff was a good review however. One of the downsides of the book is that the author places a lot of emphasis on the Questions & Answers section of Linkedin. Readers should note that this feature has been discontinued by Linkedin because of low user engagement.
