The video did a great job of explaining the biology of snakes, a little on their evolution, and the variety of species. However, where it really excelled was in the video of snakes in action. Great camera work. The opening scene was very dramatic and attention getting. The narration was very good as well. Although it won't offer much, if any information for advanced herpetologists and snake enthusiasts, the price is justified by dramatic scenes. It is 50 minutes long (don't know why Amazon doesn't list running times).

This is one of the best documentary videos on snakes I have ever seen. The photography is spectacular. Especially stunning and well-done are the sequences where a fierce snake pursues a mouse in its underground burrow and the multipart sequence following a corn snake in its exploration of a typical barn in the eastern U.S. I am amazed at the photographers' skills in filming these sequences. The video also provides a lot of interesting, factual information on a variety of snakes. Highly recommended.
