I found this book easy to follow. It did not lay the technical jargon on too thick. And all the terminology used was explained thoroughly. I was able to make simple electrical repairs, even though I've never worked with wiring before. I really appreciated how they included all the safety measures you need to take while working with electricity.

For me this was a good reminder of how it's done. I haven't done it in years this helped on a project I had going.

I bought this so I could install my ceiling fans without feeling like I had no idea what I was doing. This book was pretty handy because it's not overly dry and gets straight to the point, and after the first couple chapters, you can skip to only the parts you need. There are plenty of pictures, and the illustrations make good use of color to show which wires go where. There's enough variety of examples that you could adapt their guidance to just about any situation that may arise in your home improvement endeavors. I would say there's almost enough info, but not quite, for someone building a home from scratch. But this is more than adequate for an ordinary homeowner.

The book has many useful step-by-step guides. I am glad that I bought it. My only issue is that it frequently refers to "current code", but there is no publication date given anywhere. I assume it is early to mid-90's by the photos. Information is still very useful regardless.

This books has the content in a very clear and succinct way. The pictures help a lot!!!
