4.0 out of 5 stars Old Classics!, May 26, 2007
This review is from: The Ultimate History of Rock & Roll Collection - Chapter 4 - Rockin' Instrumentals (Audio CD)
How can you not enjoy these old sounds as you drive down the coast line of California with your CD blasting out these classic hits! Memories of high school and days of surfing at Santa Cruz will come back home to you - even if you lived in Iowa!

Good feeling music - no words to get in the way of the great sounds. Makes this 61 year old former surfer feel like a teenager again - in fact, it makes me want to get out the old dusty surfboard and buy some new wax and head for the beaches!

5.0 out of 5 stars Music without words, July 26, 2009
This review is from: The Ultimate History of Rock & Roll Collection - Chapter 4 - Rockin' Instrumentals (Audio CD)
The Ultimate History of Rock & Roll Collection - Chapter 4 - Rockin' Instrumentals is thirty-six minutes and thirty-six seconds long. Of the fifteen songs on this CD only Memphis by Lonnie Mack is an original recording. The other fourteen songs are stereo recordings. Despite that fact I did enjoy listening to the CD. Only two songs went to number one and Telstar by Tornadoes 74 lasted three weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles. If you like songs without words then you will enjoy this CD. The Ultimate History of Rock & Roll Collection - Chapter 4 - Rockin' Instrumentals gets an AA++.
