100 Ultimate Jazz Riffs for Piano/Keyboards
I highly recommend this title by Andrew D. Gordon.This material helped me achieve the sound I've been attempting to play for quite some time.The book and CD is a great source for anyone interested in learning to play jazz music. Sincerely, Gary P. Zuchowski

Disappointing, not "ultimate"
I've been playing piano for 35 years... classical, pop, and rock. I had high expectations when I saw this title. While the book itself is clearly laid out and easy to read, it's the riffs themselves that were a disappointment. Perhaps I was expecting classic jazz - from the 1900-1950's era...these riffs are awkward and more "free-form" and dissonant than I was...

I've been playing piano for 35 years... classical, pop, and rock. I had high expectations when I saw this title. While the book itself is clearly laid out and easy to read, it's the riffs themselves that were a disappointment. Perhaps I was expecting classic jazz - from the 1900-1950's era...these riffs are awkward and more "free-form" and dissonant than I was expecting. Perhaps more modern jazz cats can appreciate it. I wouldn't recommend this one.
