About the Author

Josh Pahigian’s other books with the Lyons Press include The Ultimate Baseball Road-Trip and Why I Hate the Yankees, which were both written with coauthor Kevin O’Connell. Josh is also the author of Spring Training Handbook and The Red Sox in the Play-offs. Josh and his wife Heather live in Maine, where he teaches writing at the University of New England.

More About the Author

Josh is the author of several baseball books, including "101 Baseball Places to See Before You Strike Out" and "The Ultimate Baseball Road Trip." He and co-author Kevin O'Connell recently finished revising and updating the latter title, which will be re-released by the Lyons Press in March of 2012.


Josh also recently signed up his first novel. A thriller set in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, it's scheduled for publication in the Fall of 2012 by Islandport Press.


In addition to writing, Josh serves as an adjunct faculty member in the English Department at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

My son has post-it notes all over this book so that whenever either (or both) of us travels out-of-town for work or pleasure we can plan which team(s) to visit. The directions are mostly accurate, the descriptions vivid and history very interesting. Our main comment is that the author should have made this a loose-leaf edition and issue updates periodically. Highly recommended to baseball fans of all ages.

My husband and I just used this book for a week-long trip around the Carolinas and it was absolutely invaluable.
