This collection of movie themes, will allow you to relive the chilling experiences from practically all (4 CDs)of the great movies. Great movies would not be great without great music. The Cincinnati Pop with Eric Kunzel are unbeatable recordings. Every minute is more beautiful and inspiring to the next. If you love Pops music, this is the begin all, end all.

This is a great collection and truly worthy of five stars for people who like listening to great themes from film scores, so I'm not going to deduct anything for the truly bizarre decision to include the occasional sound effect. The Titantic hitting an ice burg? A rocket lifting off? I mean - why? No one wants to sit and listen to beautiful melodic themes with some ugly random noise thrown in. Fortunately, it's only in a few places. Most of the music is extremely well chosen and includes many of my favorites of recent years. You can check the list for yourself. My local classical station often includes these very pieces, something I'd like to encourage, as I think great film scores are the classics of our age.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra led by Erich Kunzel has recorded some of the best orchestral versions of film scores. This is indeed the ultimate collection and a good starting point to explore the many albums from epic soundtracks to gentle love themes; great silver screen classics to modern award winners.

The aptly named Ultimate Movie Music Collection does not disappoint in the least. As a film score and movie soundtrack purist, I am always skeptical about any CD with film scores that have been re-orchestrated, and re-recorded by a pops orchestra. More often than not, renditions of scores tend to lack the emotion and impact of the original and are vastly inferior. I can confidently say that this is not the case here. Eric Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops do a phenomenal job of recreating everything that made you love the original score. In fact, with many of these recordings I can not tell them apart from the original; and some-- I dare say-- are even better than the original.

Probably the best thing about this CD collection is it's wide range. It covers decades of movies and hits all the right points. From classics like "Casablanca" and "Gone with the Wind", to block busters like "Titanic", "Jaws", "Lord of the Rings", and "Star Wars", to an outstanding orchestral rendition of "When You Believe" from "The Prince of Egypt", to the haunting melodies from "Ghost" and "Poltergeist", there is not a single track on this four-disc collection that I don't absolutely love. The interpretations of the John Williams works are particularly well done. So whether you are looking for an outstanding film compilation, looking to expand your taste in film music, or just love movies, this collection is for you.

This is simply a superb collection of movie music. Eric Kunzel and The Cincinatti Pops Orchestra take the listener on a fantastic musical journey. Close your eyes and listen as the music spirits you away to the imaginary world of the cinema.

This collection was just what I was looking for in a movie music package. The recording is pristine, the music is involving, and the price for all of this entertainment is very, very reasonable! 4 Cds for under $25.00! There isn't a bad cut in the package.

Bought this for my parents. They have enjoyed it and even though you may not like the movie, the music is generally good. A lot of music for the money.

The Ultimate Movie Music Collection is exactly what the name says. An amazing job done by the Cincinnati Pop Orchestra and a CD I listen to almost daily. Some of the songs are just so powerful that you have to listen to them on the best sound system you have nice and loud and just close your eyes and get swept away! Absolutely Amazing. The only thing I wish was that there was more Disney Movie Scores on it. Oh Well.

If you love movie music and movie scores, the CD collection is for you! It is a wonderful collection of both dramatic and relaxing movie music. I could listen to it over and over again - AND I DO!

This is a great CD for movie themes. I really enjoy it as it has a lot of movie themes uou can't find anymore.

I absolutely love this collection. It certainly matches its title. I use some of the music in workshops for movement and everyone has a great time moving through Goldfinger, Indiana Jones, Pink Panther, and the Stormtroopers! Hearing the Titanic hit the ice is bone chilling. It's a great compilation. Thank you!
