ISBN 0789434687 - Printed in Italy. No age range stated. Paperback with one-time use stickers. 8 pages. Published by DK Publishing in 1998. Part of the The Ultimate Sticker Book series. By Angela Wilkes, edited by Melanie Halton, designed by Catherine Goldsmith.Captions next to uniquely shaped outlines hint at the appropriate sticker. Each matching caption and sticker features a New York sight and some details about it. This is a fun, cute book, with one really weird thing. It was published in 1998 (so, pre-9/11) but the twin towers of the World Trade Center, arguably the single most recognizable iconic New York sight, is not among the featured sights. It is visible in the Brooklyn Bridge sticker, among others, but for it not to even be named seems weird to me. Other than that, this is a fun and educational sticker book that would be great for preparing for a trip to the Big Apple, or just to learn about the city. - AnnaLovesBooks |
