This game is a really good deal for $36.99, the graphics are good-great,

I'll just say that I like the Ultimate Ninja series more than the Clash series. It just seems this doesn't offer that much different from the previous ultimate ninja games besides characters. It doesn't improve loading time for example.

5.0 out of 5 stars OMG, AMAZING GAME!!!, April 19, 2009

This review is from: Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden (Video Game)
This game is a really good deal for $36.99, the graphics are good-great,
and it has a 3d world to play out the shippuuden, along with amazing graphical animations of major points in the show. It also has a hero mode to play out the original naruto story in a interactive book like way. the multiplayer far succedes the first 3 games, with 50 characters and like 16 feilds to play in. They also added little things that you might not notice but if you do it makes the purchace of this game oh so more satisfiying. My only problem with the game is that it had only a very small sliver of shippuuden in it totaling about 4 1/2 hours and a preshippuuden story (AMAZINGLY GOOD) lasting about 2 1/2 hours of game play. it then has about 10 hours more of things to do missions, collection of peices of memory( for hero mode) ect. all of which have voice acting! putting all of the time it takes to totally enjoy this game and beat it would be about 24 hours so its a really good deal.

if your a naruto addict or a new person to the series,as long as you like RPG's or deul arena's you will like this game.

things that might dissapoint is that the human graphics are lacking, while the back ground is good. and the small number of battle feilds is kinda repetive.

This is definitely a sequel for all the hardcore fans of Naruto. If you don't own the first 3 naruto games, you definitely want to pick this up. This is the biggest roster since the other 3 naruto games. It's the usual style of fighting for naruto series, nothing has change. "If it ain't broken, why fix it?" If you arn't a fan but are itching for a new fighting game to mess around with then it's worth a shot. Wasn't too crazy about the new ultimates and the certain conditions you have to meet to do the different type of ultimates. I liked the first 2 naruto games where you just choose which level of ultimate you wanted to do, which either took 1 bar, 2 bar, or the whole 3 bar for the ultimate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Ninja Fun, May 7, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden (Video Game)
This game is a direct extension of Ultimate Ninja 3 however, the addition of so many characters from the Naruto Universe (1st and 2nd Hokages) is enjoyable. The only downside I could find was the fact that I was able to purchase some new ultimate Jutsu's but they could not be used in the game. I wanted to punish my son with different types of finishing moves but this option was not allowed. Other than that, the game does help keep the excitement going with the PS2.

the game can be finished quite quickly (about 1-4 days) but it is the best by far. the ultimate jutsu system has been revamped once again. unlike 3, 4 allows you to see all the characters jutsu depending on the situation(unlike 2 which justs gives the the option at any time) making the game more challenging and fun. fun new ultimate jutsus. i miss the mini games though. th minigames are gone but it is by far the best. wished there were a few more shippuden characters tho

I'll just say that I like the Ultimate Ninja series more than the Clash series. It just seems this doesn't offer that much different from the previous ultimate ninja games besides characters. It doesn't improve loading time for example.

The fighting mode is similar to the others in the series. It's good to have the shippuden characters. Most of the characters from the earlier games including younger versions remain though check as some have been dropped which makes no sense to have done. If you have the previous game make sure you have a save and you can save some time unlocking characters. Really they should all be available from the start in this day and age.

There are a number of strange design decisions that make it a bit annoying. The hero mode (original naruto story) is laid out very strangely. For some situations you just get a review of what happens in a chapter and in others you do actual fighting. I think everyone has already seen the original storyline so many times this is actually a bit annoying. Unfortunately to unlock every character you have to sit through the whole thing.

The fighting engine takes too long to load! This is a problem with fighting games in general though but it's really absurd. It's been 20 years and they haven't fixed this. Just keep stuff in memory! I don't care if it costs backgrounds or detail.

The missions are much improved on earlier Ultimate Ninja games which had insane requirements.

The story mode of this game is similar to the chronicles series of games. You have story mode battles and fighting game type battles so it has some variety but its a bit weird. There's a long cave that you have to go to the end of 3 or 4 times because the game teleports you out every time even though you still have things you need to do at the end which is frustrating.

Overall fun though. If you don't like the previous games you won't like this!

My son is 13. He loves this game! Had a sleepover with three friends and they had a great time playing it. Recommend for the kids who always loved and still enjoy YuGiOh cards.
