Earlier in the year I had the pleasure of reading Tamika Newhouse's debut novel, The Ultimate NO NO. I really enjoyed it. At the end of the book, I was happy to learn that there would be a sequel. I could not wait to read it. The characters were full of excitement and lots of drama, and I wanted more of them. When I received The Ultimate Moment No Regrets, I had no clue what would happen in the lives of these 20-something, outspoken and full of spunk people. I had guessed and everything I guessed was so off in left field.

Nitrah was still getting over the fact that Troy had loved and left her. However, when he returns to her life, they both have unresolved emotions for each other. Troy and Nitrah need to do a lot of searching, within themselves, to figure out should they move on with or without the other as a part of their future. Will they make the right decision? Or, will one disappoint the other yet again?

When I last read about Tim and Jazz, they were saying vows and making promises that should last a lifetime. However, Jazz's past has come back to interrupt her wedded bliss. The emotional strain is so much that Jazz seeks professional help to survive. While doing an assignment given to her by her psychiatrist, her life takes a complete turn. What happened next no one saw coming, not even Tim.

Each of the characters, including the secondary ones, have gone through some major changes. Their lives are moving forward, but sometimes some of the same mistakes hold them back a little keeping them from their ultimate moment. They have reached a point in their life where they reflect and realize they have no regrets regarding any decision they have made. The plot while exciting was not as dramatic as the debut with the constant fist fights. However, the excitement was all still there. I think leaving out the fight scenes showed maturity on the part of the characters. That is a good thing. What was not such a good thing was the editing. The chapters are labeled by characters' name, because the story is told in first person, however, one of the chapters was labeled wrong. Aside from that, there were grammatical and punctuation issues. With a story this good, I hope readers will still pick up The Ultimate Moment No Regrets; giving Newhouse a chance, even with the mistakes.

After reading "The Ultimate No, No," I just had to read "The Ultimate Moment-No Regrets" the same night! It was well worth it! I needed to see whether or not Nitrah would chose Troy or Michael. I made my bet at the beginning of the story and I was not disappointed although Nitrah had me on pins and needles a few times with her decision.

Tim and Jazz's marriage is so typical of marriages today where when its time to set up and really be there for the spouse, one or both tuck tail and run. Maxwell's character is almost every woman's fantasy.... ok.... well he is my fantasy..lol

I'm glad to see that Charmine and Bobby aren't as perfect as what they may seem and that Robert and Deliah can look beyond their past to see each other in the future.

Now, Joyclyn - let me just say this- she needs her but kicked from here to London and back for her actions. She needs some serious help.

I could see the growth in the author with this novel compared to the first novel- great job Tamika! IF you haven't read the first novel, do so before you read this one- I had a greater appreciation for the storyline. I'm glad that I didn't buy the first book when I first met Tamika at The National Black Book Festival here in Houston because that would have meant me bugging Tamika a whole year for the next novel. lol.. Can't wait till #3 to see Joyclyn get her butt kicked by one of the members of the gang; to see the union of Jazz and Maxwell grow and to know whether or not all will really find the everlasting love that they are all searching for; including Michael!

This book was a again a drama filled experience. It was some surprises that I was like, wow! One part had me like hummm, and I don't want to give that away. Overall I enjoyed this sequel, I thought it was strong and picked right back up where it left off. On to Will Love Ever Know Me. Great series Tamika. I am almost positive part 3 will be just as great.

All I can say is wow. I always download samples prior to purchasing a book. I didn't even get through the sample. I purchased it immediately. Ms. Tamika, you did your thang girl.

This book kept you interested from the beginning to the very end. I bought it on my Kindle two weeks ago and just decided to read it yesterday. I could not put the book down until I got to the very end. I am so excited to read Part 2.

I'm not really a reader but the title "The Ultimate No-No" caught my attention and I was hooked since. This book made me not want to put it down because I just had to know what was going to happen next. I even bought the other two books. I enjoyed every bit of those books!

This book was great, started where pt.1 ended with lots DRAMA. A REAL PAGE TURNER, I truly ENJOYED it and could'nt put my KINDLE down. I am a TRUE FAN of TAMIKA NEWHOUSE.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I love how the character's voices are so distinct that I could actually hear them in my head as I read. Great read!

I really enjoyed reading this one. I never really wanted to put it down. The thing that shocked me most of all was how Tim did Jazz.I think they had alot of unresolved issues and problems and instead of confronting them or dealing with them, they avoided them. I think that Jazz should have at least tried to work it out with Tim. In my previous review, I mentioned that they moved too fast in their relationship and maybe they just weren't ready. Also I believe the choice that Nitrah made was the wrong one (you will realize why when you read the last book: Will love ever know me?)As for Dahlia,I wouldn't have let her back into the circle, for obvious reasons. Oh and the ending to this book, was shocking! Even your jaw will drop when you read it. All in all I give this book four stars! Go Tamika!
