Wilma Marcus Chandler is a director, actor and choreographer in the Monterey and San Francisco Bay area. For many years she has directed the Theater Arts program at Cabrillo College and been an innovator in both teaching and producing Performing Arts courses and workshops. She was the co-coordinator of the National Festival of Women's Theater, and the Louden Nelson Poetry Series in Santa Cruz, Ca.. She has directed and performed for many theater companies, including The Black Repertory Theater in Oakland and the Bear Republic Theater and has taught at the University of Iowa and the University of California at Santa Cruz. She lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with her husband, the novelist and playwright, John Chandler.
